Attempting to leave the hazardous air of Portland, Oregon behind, I searched for a coastal respite. The air was only slightly better and the sand provided some warmth and comfort. The entire crew survived the wreck of the Peter Iredale in the early 1900s. The remnants are a reminder that when strong obstacles are in our path a piece of us might lie stranded, but we survive and persist. On to the next adventure!
